Neptune Marine Surveys & Services, Inc., established in 1990, is a marine surveying and consulting services firm that has certifications in cargo as a Certified Marine Surveyor through National Association of Marine Surveyors and container inspections as a Certified Container Inspector through the Institute of International Container Lessors. Additionally, we work in the disciplines covering hull and machinery, on/off charter, physical damage inspection, repair liaison, salvage representation, loss mitigation, incident response, out turn & stow inspections, condition & valuation, ultrasonic gauging, barge draft calculations and accident investigation.
Bruce E. Bacon has 35 years experience in the marine industry. Bruce began working for a barge company on the Western Rivers as an active crewman and lead deckhand. In 1979, he moved to Cincinnati to work in a liaison position as a technical field representative overseeing equipment and relationships between the barge line, clients and government agencies. In 1990 Neptune Marine Surveys & Services, Inc. began and has continued to work in the river marine industry.
Edward F. Opp has worked with Neptune Marine Surveys & Services, Inc. since January 1996. Prior to this Ed had extensive experience in machine tool industry. Subsequently, Ed has become a member of International Association of Marine Investigators, International Association of Arson Investigators, Certified Fire Investigator, Certified Marine Accident and Incident Investigator and a licensed private investigator.
